Credit crunch has hit Rescue Centres hard with a 40% drop in donations.
Many elderly people donate to animal rescue centres and with the fall in of interest rates this means many supporters can no longer afford to give donations once or twice a year. Because of this drop in donations rescue centres have no choice but to lay off staff and cut wages. This is why this year Wetnose has decided to hold a fund raising day to help even more struggling centres.
