On each trip we go round visiting all of cows who we have rescued from slaughter and homed with local families. It’s lovely to see them all doing so well. One of Ralph’s friends is a very kind Buddhist man who has many of our cows in his care. We noticed that he had a few calves there since when we last visited and Ralph explained that whenever there is a family birthday or event they celebrate by rescuing a calf from a slaughterhouse and giving them a chance of life.
Nicky was very pleased to see her cow and calf rescued from a slaughterhouse in December 2006 looking so healthy and all of the cows rescued by HAAAW. The man and his family are doing a splendid job in taking care of them all.
Tom and Chris were given the job of worming the cows on the last day of the trip with the help of Ralph.
