A new group called the 'Negombo Animal Lovers Club' was formed to help protect the animals in Sri Lanka when Home and Abroad Animal Welfare are not in the country.
The members of the group are people that we have got to know over the years, and are people that have shown kindness to animals and taken in animals off of the streets.
Monthly meetings will be held by the group to discuss what they have been doing to help animals in thier areas and to discuss what they plan to do in the future. These people will also be there to help their neighbours and to tell us of any problems in the area they live in.
